Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 8, 2026 · Last updated: May 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Blue Anchor Technology Advisors ("Blue Anchor," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit blueanchor.solutions (the "Site") or engage us for services. We keep this short and direct because we think you should be able to read it.
Plain-English summary. We collect only what you give us through our contact form or by emailing us. We use it to respond to you and deliver the services you hire us for. We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not use your project data to train external AI models. We follow Massachusetts data security law and cooperate with regulators when required.
1. Who we are
Blue Anchor Technology Advisors is a Massachusetts-based, veteran-owned technology services firm building websites, web applications, and AI integrations for small and medium businesses across New England. The data controller responsible for the information described in this policy is Blue Anchor Technology Advisors. You can reach us at info@blueanchor.solutions.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us directly
When you fill out our contact or project inquiry form, send us an email, or speak with us by phone, we may collect:
- Your name and the name of your business
- Your email address and phone number
- Information about your project, including industry, goals, budget range, timeline, and any preferences you tell us about
- Any other information you choose to share with us in the course of the inquiry
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider (Netlify) may automatically receive standard server log information, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to operate and secure the Site. We do not currently use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics services to identify individual visitors. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and disclose what is being collected before turning anything on.
Information we receive during a client engagement
If you become a client, we may receive additional information necessary to perform the work, such as access credentials to your existing systems, content for your website, brand assets, or sample data. We treat this information as confidential and use it only to deliver the services described in your contract. We do not use your project data to train external AI models, and we do not share it with any third party for that purpose.
3. What we do not collect
We do not ask for or collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, payment card numbers, biometric data, or government identification through the Site. If a future client engagement requires handling that kind of information, we will address it in a written contract with security terms appropriate to the data involved.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and prepare proposals
- Provide, deliver, and support the services you hire us for
- Send service-related communications, such as project updates, invoices, and required notices
- Send occasional marketing emails to past inquirers, with an unsubscribe option in every message
- Keep records required by tax, accounting, and contract law
- Improve our Site and service offerings
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from public authorities
6. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information for up to two years from the date of your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. We keep client engagement records, contracts, and related correspondence for seven years after the engagement ends, which is the length of time recommended for tax and contract recordkeeping. We may keep information longer if required by law or to resolve a dispute.
7. How we protect information
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold. These include access controls, strong passwords with multi-factor authentication on key accounts, encryption of devices that store client information, secure transmission of personal data, and a documented internal information security program. No security program is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat the protection of your information as a core responsibility of running this business.
8. Your choices and rights
Access, correction, and deletion
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send your request to info@blueanchor.solutions with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may decline requests where we are required to keep records by law (for example, tax records during the retention period).
Marketing opt-out
If we ever send you a marketing email, every message includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to opt out at any time.
Do Not Track
The Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because we do not track you across other websites. If that changes, we will update this section.
9. California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), gives you the rights described in section 8 above plus the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected, the sources of that information, the purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties we share it with. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise your California rights, email us at info@blueanchor.solutions. You may also designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf.
10. Massachusetts data security and breach notification
If you are a Massachusetts resident, you have specific protections under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93H and 201 CMR 17.00, including the right to be notified if your personal information (as defined by those laws) is acquired or used by an unauthorized person. If we become aware of such an event, we will notify the Massachusetts Attorney General, the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, and affected residents as soon as practicable and without unreasonable delay, in accordance with state law.
11. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us at info@blueanchor.solutions and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party sites we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice on the Site or by email to clients. Your continued use of the Site after a change becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
